I have a green nepthia that I have had for over a year that has not grown much. Had it at the bottom the tank for most of the year, but a friend said that they like alot of light, so i moved it to the top of the tank. Opening up even less. anyone have experience with this coral?I was also told that they are illegal to collect any more.Nice looking piece when open though.

Hmm I had mine toward the bottom. If it's looking stressed, I would probably move it back down. You know, I had a green nepthia that grew extremely slow for the first couple years. All of a sudden it just started taking off. Ended up giving it to a friend because I broke that tank down. He has since fragged it and given me back a small branch. This new branch has been growing pretty fast but it's probably because I feed it now haha... In short, try feeding it if you don't already.

what do you feed them? I had one this palau nepthea and it never grows and slowly just died. I had them about 1 year from a small frag and it never grows only extended but never get big.

Any of the freeze dried foods for coals like cyclopeze or phytoplankton. it is a good lower part of talk coral. do not need much light.

I have a neon green nepthea that's a slow grower... Looks happy so I am not worried, but grows slowly. Mine is mid tank under 4 ati t5s with a lot of flow...

I have a green nepthia that was shrinking the last few months under my LEDs...once I put it under less intense power compacts, it took off again.

I just purchased a nice Palau green Nepthea frag, my first ever. My LFS told me they are hardy and fast growing. I hope it is, it has the best color I have seen in a softie.
