No worries... To tell you the truth, I actually try to promote the inclusion of micro bubbles. Not scrubbing, more like wave action.![]()
As long as you don't see the micro bubbles becoming pockets of trapped air underneath your hard corals, you should be fine. Some corals don't tolerate that well, including fungia and other plate corals.
i'm curious why you added the HOB if you have a sump?
I would add some more tangs and the bubbles should go away
Really? Or is that sarcasm?

Just for extra filtration

I would be less concerned about bubbles and more concerned about that aptasia!!
I didn't know it was big deal. How do I get rid of it?

I thought BIO wheels were a big NO NO for a reef??? and only suitable for freshwater tanks.
I've never seen one used on this site and it's weird to have on top of a sump. Add it to the sump then.
And those poor fish! Dude, you get ONE tang, maybe, at only 100 gallons. (1) Regal tang needs 200+ gallon tank.
Your tank has got serious stocking issues. This isn't personal opinion, it's just the way it is.
bio-wheels wont hurt. it's from the "nitrate farm" fear.
it's just surface area for bacteria to grow, and the extra splashing adds oxygen. the floss/carbon insert does what floss and carbon does.
I don't personally like them because they tend to cause an incredible amount of salt creep. but over all functionality there are more efficient filters, sure if you wanna pay to run them, they can't hurt, might help.
