Small Bubbles on my rock and Corals

My tank is getting loaded with what looks like small air bubbles all over my rock & corals.

anyone know what this is?

How long has the tank been set up? If it has been up for years and this happens I would suspect detritus build up on the rock work. You should blow out your rock work periodically with a power head. How are your water test? any phosphate?

I recently took my skimmer out. Looking for new one. Had a red velvet algae on my rocks 3 days ago that I blew off in sheets.

Need to buy skimmer. Trying to upgrade tank. Using a Tunze 6080.
Have a second that I have not put in yet.

PO4 0.2-0.5
Salinity .026
Nitate .20
dkh 9.0
Calcium 420

210 gallon tank. Rock formation very tight like wall of rock . intending to rerock as shelves. Refug/sump. Really grows nothing but red slim in sump. Chaeto really grows little. Light on 24/7 in ref/sump.

25 fish acros, lps, sps

I donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t have any filtration other then a refugium no skimmer on my tank. I have 20 fish, when I tried Chaeto it grew way too slow or not at all and I started having problems to. I went back to the feather calerpa and it grows like a weed no problems. I think Chaeto needs more light.

You are at max for Nitrate. Phosphates are a little high but not real bad. Could be because your refugium isnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t doing well. Got to get something growing in there.

Thatââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s good flow through the refugium, but for a 210 gallon tank you want to at least triple that in the tank with closed loops.

I havea.....

I havea.....

A tunze 6100 running at half strenght. I have another I can put in also. Just dont want to **** corals off. Nothing in system for mechanical removal of detris. Skimmer not in system now.

I am running the same EcoSystem filtration you have on my 180 without a skimmer and no mechanical filtration. The tanks been up for five years never had a problem.

Did you change half the mud yet? I skipped for over three years, xenia stopped spreading and algae was slow growing, then changed half of it and the algae in the refugium took off and my xenia started spreading all over the tank. The mud realy works I was skeptical because of how expensive it is.
