Small carpet anemone completely white

Today I picked up all of the livestock from a 150g tank breakdown from a local reefer.
Wasn't expecting it, but upon pulling all of the rock out we came across what is a blue carpet anemone, about 4 inches wide, and completely white.
Not sure if I'm going to keep it due to having mandarins but is a blue carpet that's turned this white going to make it? His foot what grabbing fine, I put him in the corner and he instantly grabbed on and has stayed there.
Mouth is slightly open, but he's definitely alive.

There's a good chance the color will come back within 2-3 months if you feed it once or twice a week and provide with strong enough light. The overall shape of the anemone is acceptable and not alarming.

Got the halides on her today.. seems a little scrunched up, kind of sunk into the corner.
I'm assuming if it was too much light it would move.
Hopefully it starts coloring up in a few months.

The color will definitely come back, I've had it happen to my neon green carpet after some unfortunate events but all is well now. Like mentioned previously, just feed it and keep it well lit.

If you don't think you'll be keeping it, I'd love to nurse it back to health, we may be pretty local.

Btw, I see in your signature that you have a porky puffer what kind is that exactly, came up short when I googled it and has it been reef safe for you? My gf always wants me to get one but I'm highly skeptical about having one in a reef

Great to hear. I think im going to keep him. We shall see. I like him a lot, always like carpets.. I would hate to see him eat a mandarin.
I'm not sure to the exact species of porcupine puffer, I know there are few different ones but I think the same guidelines apply to all.
Typically not considered reef safe because they will eat inverts of all sorts.
The worst thing my puffer ever did was mistake a sleeping mandarin for a shrimp and bite it.
Aside from that he is a model citizen and pretty timid. Has never bothered any coral, never bothered my maxima clam, never even seemed slightly interest in either the peppermint shrimp, Cleaner shrimo, or coral banded shrimp.
And he has never bothered either mandarin again, they actually crawl all over him while he's sleeping, eating pods all around him.
Mind you, I feed him whole frozen alaskan shrimp and he still doesn't bother anything.
He's been actually getting bullied by my sailfin, but I just added 4 fish to the dt and the sailfin hasn't paid him any mind. Here's a pic of the sailfin and puffer.
