small frags doing well is 5 week tank safe

yea my brother gave my a few frags over a week ago brown zoos and blue mushroom , they look happy, my tank is pretty new but all perimaters look fine beside ph @ 8.0 and steady. am i safe to add other soft coral or am i asking for trouble new to this great hobby and want to do right. oh he also gace me some of his crushed coral and some water from his tank any help would be great thanks

You should wait a little longer i think before adding anyting esle. I would let the tank set up a little longer and get the right chemistry balance. I know it is hard but what is adding new coral worth to you? The coral could sruvive or you could have just thrown 30 - 50 bucks out the window. If you give your tank more time to settle the chance that your tossing around money is much less
