well my tank is going really good now finally(made some rookie mistakes) and we are going to oregon for 3 days and the LFS said dont worry about feeding them? is that true? my lights are on timers and we have about 200 pounds of live rock, thanx

I wouldnt worry about it too much, I used to only feed once a week with my nano

Just read in Fenner's book that he recommends the same. He feels you would be worse off from nice neighbors who fish-sit and overfeed. A short-term "fast" is similar to what they would expect in the wild anyway.

For a short trip, I wouldn't worry. Just make sure you have a good plan for top-off and supplimenting alk/ca. Those are a lot more important, imo.
