Smallest seahorse that isn't a dwarf.

I would like to know what seahorses are the smallest that aren't considered to be dwarf or that don't need to be feed tiny foods like newly hatched brine.

I would try H. capensis.

The only issue with capensis is they would need a chiller - especially in Arizona.

Any seahorse is going to need a chiller in AZ. It's freaking hot down there.

Another couple of small species are H tuberculatus and H breviceps. Both need chillers.

Why are you looking for the smallest SH available besides dwarves? What tank are you planning on keeping them in? If you give us details on your setup, we can give you better suggestions on SH.

want to keep them in a 29 gallon nano cube and would like smaller sized ones. do any tolerate temps around 80?

Sorry, 80 is way too warm for any species of seahorse, no matter the size.

There is a new seahorse coming to the USA called H. Fuscus and they only get to be about 3-3 1/2 inches. I found this out through Seahorsesource.com. I didn't ask the price.
We will need a chiller here.
