smallish SFE safe with lion?

I've got a lion that is maybe 5-6" in size. I got a SFE awhile back and it came in smaller than I hoped. It's probably around 8" long and 1/2" diameter. It's ready to come out of quarintine, but I want to get some opinions if it's safe with the lion. It would seem to me that it would be too long and the lion wouldn't give it a 2nd look, but I once saw a lion fish eat a long nosed hawk that was about 1/2 its size and I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen it.

They should be just fine together. Lionfish obviously can't bite off chunks of fish, and therefore are restricted to eating things they can eat in one "gulp". Lionfish can actually eat things that are nearly as long as they are, but I wouldn't expect it to try to swallow an eel that is considerably longer than it is. They should be perfectly fine together. Just be sure to feed your Lionfish more than normal and introduce the Snowflake Eel a while after feeding if you want to be extra careful.

That was the feeding approach I was going to take. The lion eats really well, so it will be no problem giving him his fill for awhile.
