I'm not convinced that it's Collonista. From the pics, the sculpting seems too heavy. There's a good chance that it's just an artifact of the pictures, but there's also a chance this snail is something else entirely.
While the closest thing they look like is a collonista, I agree that the ridges on the shell are not the normal type you see on a collonista. The ones I have are smoother.
If you have more than one, do they reproduce? My guys breed like rabbits.
Collonistas are reef safe. For now, I would keep an eye on them and try to figure out what they are eating. If they are breeding in your tank, other people will probably want to get some from you. We're always looking for reef safe species that breed in our tanks.
I will keep an eye on them then.
They do not appear to grow any bigger and I am not seeing them suspiciously close to my corals, so I am not overly concerned about their diet.
