Snail suggestions for macro & seagrass

It's almost time for me to start getting my snail crew for the new tank.

Can anyone suggest some snails which will keep the "problem" algae in check and leave the macro alone?

I'm also after some snails which will clean the leaves of the seagrasses. As it will eventually become a seahorse tank the flow is low and I'm concerned about buildup of junk and algae on the leaves.

Lastly, I want something to stir the sand but not mess with the seagrass roots. Thinking Nassarius because of thier size?

I added 6 older Astraea snails last night to start the job.

The tank is a 90G. No idea how many snails I need.

Thanks for your help.

I have Cerith snails and nassi in my tank. The cerith eat diatom (mostly off the glass but do some burrowing in the sand too). The nassarius eat detritus in the sand. Niether bother the macro.

Collumbelid grazers are small and are great for cleaning the seagrass leaves. They also will lay they're eggs on the seagrass. Ceriths will help stir the sand bed and are great grazers for sand and glass. Astreas and turbos will clean rocks and glass. Nassarius are carrion eaters and will eat whatever you fish miss, and are good for keeping the sand stirred. Fighting conch is great for keeping algae off the sand and stirring the sand.

2 fighting conch, 5 or 10 astreas ( depending on other grazers ), a couple turbos ( try to get one pacific and one mexican ), 5 cerith, 5 nassarius, 5 or 10 collumbellid grazers ( these will breed in your tank ). These are good initial stocking numbers for an established tank, strictly my opinion.

A new one Im learning about is trochus grazers, apparently these will also breed in your tank.

Dove shell snails(Euplica) are a good herb'/detritvore.they stir the sand like nass'.They stay small,3/4".

Another good snail is the zebra nerite(Puperita pupa).Herbivorus,cyano,diatoms.

I like the Abalone snail as well, only thing is it needs space, because it can get big.Herb',cyano,diatoms.

A couple of one's I'd like to get is the Bulla or bubble snail.Herb',filamentous alge, polychaete worms.

And some Chitons,Herb',Filamentous alge,cyano,diatoms.
