Snail Suicide

Any one got any ideas on how I can keep my turbo snails from crawling into the flow of my seios and maxi jets ? Even with the grills on they still seem to be drawn to them?

Foam filter, but it will clog pretty soon so it needs to be cleaned or changed frequently.

What is happening to your snails when they get on the powerheads? I have maxijets in my tank with the regular screen that comes with them (not the foam filter) and never have had a problem with the snails crawling all over them.

They get sucked into the pump and if I have the grills on the pump they get sucked through the grills.
