Yes, but expect a snail & crab graveyard near where they burrow. Fun to watch nonetheless though.

I have one wild caught in the keys would it be wise to put it in the tank?

Don't see why it would matter it's live caught. Just like I said you'll have to refresh CUC at times. Get him a goby friend and you'll see the symbiotic relationship.

They will also move sand around and you can't put frags on the sand or they'll steal them. With goby friend they are awesome to watch. Unfortunately my goby jumped so I rarely see the shrimp anymore, he's definitely there though.

Local pistol shrimp don't usually pair with gobys...at least that's been my experience. Id throw it back personally. Usually they are on the ugly side....and for 10-15$ u can get a nice Randalls that will pair with any goby!
