are these the premium ORA snowflakes? what kind of clowns are these?

how much are they worth each? paired? not trying to sell them - they're awesome!

i just picked them up today so sorry for bad quality camera pics. i could see a very blue hue/scales on one of the clowns on the borders of the white and a very slight blue hue on the other.

This is a semi-snowflake clown. I have a premium snowflake clown that has minimum orange spot in the body where the orange stripe is not connected , and its head is nearly completely white.

Saltwater.com sells it for 69.99, and there was a 20% discount few days ago.

How much did u pay for it?

Hermesfansf, any pics of your clown? I've been wanting to get one but wonder how close to ora's stock photo the fish are..

i looked at the ORA website.. the 1st one looks like a premium (they describe the blue hue that i see).. the 2nd one looks just a tad bit less like the premium one but better than the regular snowflake (judging by the dark black and orange color).

I have attached the pics of my premium snowflake. The pic quality is bad, as the light is still off. However, you could tell the white is really the prominent color and the orange is just spotty on the body. She is currently paired with a black clown. She is very aggressive. She bites a lot...................

I think it is very difficult to produce such premium snowflake, that might explain why ORA would lower the standard of the snowflake.

Better pics when the light is on.

did you buy them as ORA Premiums? If you didn't buy them from a reputable LFS or breeder, there is no way to insure where they originated from...could easily be SA clowns as well...truthfully, IMHO it's getting harder and harder to tell what any of these designer clowns are as so many of them are starting to look the same or very similar in the least....FWIW, how much did you pay for them and where did you get them from?

in either case, it really shouldn't matter as they are very good looking clowns regardless...if you love them, enjoy them and take good care of them ;)

I have two pairs of Snowflakes and I adore them, so to me they're "priceless" :D

that's a really nice clown hermesfansf.

i didnt buy them as ORA premiums - i got them from some guy (friend of a friend) for a really cheap price.

The reason why i bought her is because i really want to breed some black snowflake clown in the future. I really think it will look some good if they could produce some black premium snowflake. Otherwise, i am not a fan of ORA clownfish. I prefer wild caught clowns as they have better movement and bolder personality.

I have an ORA clown, and the blue on the website is accurate...mine are still young and this is just a cell phone picture, but there are two little blue flecks on her belly and the there is blueish tint to her white in the spot were stripe two and three touch...I'll try and locate my "real" camera's macro shots on my laptop tomorrow, in those the blue is clearer.
