Snowflake eel?

In my 40g I have sixline and I'm out of ideas what to put in the tank. I'm thnking of putting snowflake eel around 9" long. Will this work? thanks

Not unless you have a very secure tank. They are good at escaping.

Plus they get too big for a 40 gallon. If you want an eel check at the golden dwarf morays.

Yes, they get too big. Even if it doesn't escape (this is how most of these eels die in captivity), it would eventually pose a risk to your sixline or any other fish small enough to keep in a 40 gallon.

You could try a golden dwarf eel, but it would also pose an escape risk. Probably not as much as a snowflake, but the risk is still there.
