Well it has been a couple of months or so and my tank is coming together! Equipment wise I am pretty happy, I still need to swap some bulbs in my T5 fixture, but overall I am happy with my equipment. I have been through Diatoms and hair algea but all were very minor. It seems all algea is on the way out, I can only hope. I want to thank you guys for all the help. I really need to attend a meeting and join ETRC. In this hobby I can see were being a club member can be a huge bonus. Okay, I am ready for livestock so keep me in mind when fragging. Zoa's, Mushrooms, LPS, the only thing I don't want to try yet is the more difficult SPS's and LPS's. Here some pictures, I have a terrible camera.

Looking good!!! What is wrong with the bulbs you have in the Nova??? Too old???

No , the fixture is 1 day old. The spectrum is very blue! I am going to replace one of the actinic bulbs for a 6500k. It should up the par and give it a better color. Randy don't you run a T5 light? What 4 bulbs would you run? The Nova Extreme has two 10,000k and two actinics as of know. It is to blue and not very bright.

I have 2 4ft 8 bulb fixtures... In my Zoa dominant tank, I have 2x10k, 3x460nm actinic, 3x420nm actinic... In my mixed reef, I have 2x6700, 2x10k, 2x460nm, 2x420nm...

2x10k plus ??? Actinic isn't really THAT blue... It might be because you are used to looking at a FW tank which runs on a more Yellow/Green spectrum... If you go to the Aquarium and check out the tanks, there is a noticable difference between SW and FW tanks... I hate to use that place as an example, but still... lol ;)
