So What do you feed your Goniopora?

I was wondering what everyone feeds their Goni's?

I've been using DT's Oyster eggs but everything else doesn't seem to get a good feeding response.

I just wanted to know what is the best food is for these beautiful corals?

Here's my red goni:

I suspect you won't have to feed it for very long, as they tend to not survive in captivity for very long. This is most probably due to our inability to effectively feed them.

This website deals with keeping them alive:

I guess time will tell.

But I know some people are having good long term success with them.

Also I've read on that site and elsewhere that the red goni is easier to keep.

Oliver,

Don't worry ... they will survive if you feed them.

I feed mine a mix of cycloeeze, ground up flake food, mashed up pellets, Selcon, and Spirulina powder.

I've had mine grab pellets before and try to eat them, so play around with some of the foods and see if you can get them to take it. The most important thing with feeding them is not to blast them with any hard current if your doing the feeding tube method as the will cause them to retract

Thanks,

Mine both seem to retract with crushed up flake.
And with mysis they grab them but wind up releasing them.
I'm still experimenting but at least they seem to inflate when I'm feeding oyster eggs
I'd like to find something with more substance to feed them.
