and I was wondering about sand... now I already have 80lbs of sand and I was thinking of maybe one more bag??? Well with that I was wondering if anybody had any extra sand they would be willing to sell off.

Also I was wondering about rock? I was planning on buying about 100lbs of rock and well that is going to cost a lot and I know this hobby is not cheap but I am looking to be able to cut cost's as much as possible. I was wondering if anybody had rock that they were wanting to get rid of? If so I am not looking for a free hand out but I would greatly appreciate it.

Let me know also if you have any extra parts or things, I do need somethings and would rather deal with them locally.

My last question I have is about fans. I tookk a few of my old computer fans and looked up how to wire them up to a wall outlet and with that my wife asked me the other day if it was safe. My answer, "I don't know" So I was wondering if anybody had any other idea's on this and what they were so I can make the best choice in this matter.

Thanks for your help in advance and I hope to hear some good idea's.

I have lots of rock $2.50 a pound and 5 bags of aragamax select sand $1 per pound left over from setting up my 670 gallon.

Pics of the rocks and sand here (I've used most of the rock, but there are still choice pieces left over:

The fans are safe, provided you don't have the wires exposes so they can short out. Do you have them pushing or pulling? IME, I would burn out the fan in about 9 months. It was always the fan that was sucking air out of the canopy. I believe this was due to salt corroding the bearings. Once I got the Ice cap fans, with ceramic bearings, I had no issues.

Thanks for the info on the fans I will have to look into the Ice Cap fans, this might be something hold me over until then. The ones that I have right now, mounted are on the sides and I am thinking about having them pull air in but I don't really need them to be pulling air in just yet I don't even have the ones pully air out. So I might want to get on that next. I want to put my bulbs in first to figure out where I have room to put the fans.

Greg and Lance, remember I work in Denver so if you guys need anything brought down, let me know... Now, Zen about these bins and bins of misc parts; any pumps in there of the 500-1000gph flavor?

Thank you I might have to hit you up sometime.

Since I have all of you here, I was wondering how much rock would be a good amount? Or should I just start with what I think and then see where I sit?
