I'm going to be getting a 28 gal. cube tank and i'm wondering what softies would do well with the factory suplied lights and are easy to keep. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.:fish1:

anything will keep, but growing will be more difficult due to light penetration through the water column. You will have to have things mounted high in the tank for them really to grow well.

The stock light on those self contained cubes are fairly good. You should see just about all variates of soft corals thrive in that environment. You should be ok with most LPS as well, try to stay away from anything SPS. If you can find it locally, get a small stalk of pulsing xenia, if those grows well in your tank, all softies will work.

Doesn't xenia grow like a weed?

yeah xenia can grow like a weed, but if you keep an eye on it or put in some place it can't spread its a great soft coral to keep. the same goes for GSP. its one of my favorite corals but you have to be very careful or it can take over your whole tank. Look into zoos, ricordias, yumas, and palys. those are easy to keep and have great colors!
