Brand new to the forums and only 6 months into this awesome hobby!! I have a 115 gallon FOWLR tank with 3 fish: 1 firefish goby, 1 cardinal and 1 yellow tang. My lighting is a Edge LED https://www.marinedepot.com/Aquatic...quariums-AquaticLife-AK01284-FILTFILD-vi.html
and i understand it will not support anything but soft corals. I have over 90 lbs of live rock. I have a protein skimmer and 2 powerheads. My filtration is a bio balls system. The tank is about 5 months old. I just had the water tested by my LFS and their tests show it was "perfect". No nitrite, nitrate, ammonia or chlorine. PH level was spot on 8.1 i believe. I get my tank water from a water purifier. I want to add some color to the tank and am thinking about this: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/2980/chili-coral?pcatid=2980&c=597+600+2980

My concern is the trace elements and feeding of the coral. Do you have to add the trace elements (and how do you add it)? With thew information i have provided, what would you experts suggest?

Really no need to add trace elements.. Your water changes and just the food itself you will need to add will more than likely contain all you need..

In general we usually recommend not dosing anything you aren't testing for as you have no idea if you are adding too much or too little or what..
And testing for many trace elements isn't something you can just do at home..

Alk/Cal/Mag/Salinity/Nitrates/Phosphates are really all you need to test for and adjust as needed..
