Software before I get the controller ???

As many of you know I am waiting to get my first controller, and I was wondering if I can play around with software for it before I actually get the controller, or will it not allow me to check out all the parts of the software without the controller hooked up ???

Sorry, Im just excited about getting this unit and wanted to check some stuff out beforehand if possible.

So I was looking at the illumination section and the moon simulation section shows it only starts in the PM. Is there any way to change that ???? I run my tank on a different time frame since I work late and plus its easier on my costs and heat issues to run the halides at night....

I was hoping to have the moon lights on during the day technically, but it would be night to the tanks inhabitants....

You can change it to Am if you like.
