Sohal Tang Discolouration

Hi,

I have got a sohal tang abt 4 inch long; feeding on pellets already.. will like to ask what's wrong with it.. as the line on the sohal becomes flaky.. it does not seems like ich.. hope u can enlighten me and how to treat it back to normal...

Could be diet. Sohal tang (like all tangs) should be fed seaweed or algae such as nori(attach to a clip or a rock) at least a few times a week. I like to feed mine a little bit every day. (as much as it will eat within a half hour). I would also feed frozen food such as mysis..

How long have you had it? If not long do you know what the place you got it from was feeding it?

From the pictures I don't see anything particularly wrong with it, just color/lines don't seem as good as they could be, which I usually associate with diet.. but could be something else, physical damage, parasites.
 
the fish has been in my tank for abt 1 month... eating well via pellets and red bamboo algae.. just bought some fish vitamin to see if it helps for any form of recovery in terms of nutrition..
