I found a sohal that had is't eye eaten out by a vampire pseudochromis but still has one good eye and is beutifull. Though the tang is now very discounted and a great price I'm worred that because of the tangs handicap how aggressive will she be now?

I have a big yellow tang that I tried to introduce to my big tank. My lunare wrasse bit his eye out first thing. I moved him to a 30g tank and over the last 30 days or so I can tell that his health has slowly declined. He still eats good and all, but I think one-eyed fish have a hard time competing for food. That being said, I also have a singapore angel that has one eye (Queen angel established its' dominance) and he does fine. He manages to get food between all the other fish. Really its' a gamble. My singapore was already in the tank, but the yellow was a new inductee. I don't think I'd try it.

this one still eats really well, I'm more concerned with it becoming more aggressive because it will have to compete for food more aggressively

I have a naso I got from a fellow reefer with one eye and he does just fine. I think he will be fine. Just make sure he is anxiously eating.

oh yeah he doesnt over compensate for the having an eye out. also if your feeding him nori he shouldnt have to go chase his food. Clip it up or mag float hang it.
