Some advice

Ok so I have a few upgrades/questions for things I hope to buy today. Going to finally purchase an ATO.

I am between the Smart ATO by auto aqua

Or

Tunze ATO.

Difference, price and (quality)? Some people talk about how having a small reservoir is key just in case the ATO fails. Oddly enough, my landlord approved my tank but requested my sump have some sort of backup in case it flooded (must of seen these tanks before). So my sump actually sits inside of a 40gallon tank (I know paranoid). I had a previous thread where many recommended the smart ATO, so I am leaning towards that one, although the reviews I have heard for the Tunze have always been positive.

I am also purchasing a new Eheim Jager heater for my tank to replace a 3yr old heater (its just time). Thoughts on this brand? 3-5 watts per gallon correct?

Aldo looking to replace 2 older powerheads with some new sun sun's from amazon. I already have 2 and they are great, just going to get some small ones to reduce any dead spots that may exist.

Thoughts?

I think any of the 3 ATOs you mentioned are fine, pick one :D

Ehiem Jager is a tried and true heater. I also have a Finnex that I think is really cool. It's a glass heater but this one has a temp probe that you can put 6" or so to the side which is a good idea but this heater also has an LED temp readout. It feels and looks really well made. I like this one a lot because of what I mentioned, it's really nice to open up the door to look at my sump and see the nice LED readout for temp and I can compare that temp to my digital thermometer that is in my DT. They are very nicely priced too. Here is the cheapest price I found with a quick Google search. You'll love the price too :D This is for the 300w so if you need less watts they have them as well.

Love my finnex titanium heater. No risk of breaking glass, super reliable, and has an auto off feature where if it gets exposed it shuts itself off. Only downside is it require a controller of some sort to regulate the temperature.

Hmm. yes the eheim's are quite big. I have an eshopps sump, I measured if I put it diagonally it should fit. Alright I am going to try the aqua smart, should be here in 2 days. Thank you all for the advice!
