The next coral hasn't grown much but it's polyp extension and color has improved greatly.

I am using only T5 lighting, and dosing with kalkwasser in a reactor run through my auto topoff. So far I am impressed with the results, and I am enjoying this tank much more than I did my last 3 or 4 tanks. It is just a pleasure to sit in front of it at night and watch my cardinals that are spawning, my Vlamingi tang growing, and my orange spot blenny swimming into the flow of my Hydor 4 to eat a little algae growing on the casing and then being pushed about a foot backward by the flow.

Nice growth on the blue milli and plating acro, I've got a frag like that last guy and it is just starting to show some growth. I am about to switch to (250 w) Radiums over my main tank, I tried the 14k phoenix (150 w) but have been disappointed in the growth. What lights have you got yours under?

Extremely nice Richard. That coral that you said hasnt grown much looks like some bubbling volcano porites I got from Pacific East. It hasnt grown much either but it looks very nice and it has good PE. Very nice pics.

Beautiful tank, Richard. I think it'd look better though without the red and green Lobophyllia and that huge Cynarina. Call me later this week and I'll come by and take them off your hands.

Steve, thanks. I will call you this weekend, but I don't think those corals would look good in your tank. you have too many of those sticks.

Tracy, I use Seachem Kalk, but I don't think it really matters. From what I can tell, kalk is kalk.

Tim, I am not even sure what order, but I think the bulbs are as follows from front to back:
Geisemann Midday
Geisemann Aquablue +
Geisemann Pure Actinic
UV Lighting 75/25
Geisemann Pure Actinic
Geisemann Midday
Geisemann Aquablue +
GE 6500K
GE 3000K
Geisemann Aquablue +

I just took some top down shots. I will post in a few minutes.

I love your photos. Didn't you tell me your trick was to adjust the white balance? Do you use a flash? Everything is so crisp in your photos. I desperately need a better camera (It's gotta be the camera, not me ;) ) Anyways, awesome photos and beautiful tank.

Amy,
no flash...all manual settings. It is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel. The original 6.3 MP version. A lot of the pictures are taken with a Canon 50mm macro lens. The others are taken with the stock 18-55mm lens.

I've been looking at getting the Canon Rebel XT (I believe it is the one after yours). They have gotten pretty cheap. I need to study up more to figure out which lenses to get. Thanks for letting me know what you use to get your photos. Unfortunately I missed the photography meeting you had. If I get a new camera, maybe I can twist your arm to hold another photography meeting.

Some Maricultured piece I got in on an order one time. I can't remember where I got it, though.
It has really colored up since I first got it.
