Yeah..I am using PC. Also, i guess i mean my other left. So its really the coral on the right... All those little frags are capnella..

That birds nest is the only coral i have in the tank. I also just got it on sunday. It pretty much looks the same as it did in the store under the halides..

yeah id be interested to see how it does as well, ive heard of a couple people doing sps under pc lighting but it isnt very common :) anyway good luck its looking good, i have a couple anthelia frags for not to much if you are interested.

Brian has a bunch of SPS under NO flourescent lighting (shop lights, PC and T-8 and T-5) and they do great. He has acropora, montipora, zoas, and a bunch of LPS, many under normal output flourescent bulbs, and they grow and look great. Corey, I think Brian said that was Alviopora. I am not sure of spelling. I have a book at home, but I am at work. And I will catch you some tricolor hermits when I get home. I will get home tomorrow, and will call you Wed, after I catch em. Steve.

Corey, that was Alveopora. I am working 48 hours straight, wont be home until Monday morning, but will catch you some tricolors.

Corey,

How's that Alveopora doing for you ? Picked up a similar coral on a swap at an LFS.

its doing great. Its about in the middle of my tank, and pretty close to a MJ 900 with a hydor attached..so pretty mild flow.

Ill see if i can get a picture of it when i get home. It has extended a lot more than i expected and at times it about an inch from hitting the surface of the water..

Glad to hear the Avleapora is doing well for you. Although it is at least a 3rd genration tank raised coral, up until jusst before the Nov meeting I had not moved them from the original parents tank. So it is nice to see it flourishing in other tanks. I still have 3 left from the fragging that yours was derived from and they are all doing well with about 2 inch polyp extention.

I believe there were 2 other avleaporas that went out at the Nov. BBQ. Does anyone know how they are doing?
