Some of My Photos

Hookup

Hey,
Well i see lots of photos of non-reef related items, and I thought i'd dig out some of mine and share. These are all from my Canon 20D, and likely all from the 70-200mm F4, though the funky architecture photo is definitely from the 10-22 and the Fern photo might be the 50mm F/1.8... I have the exif data on backup somewhere if anyone is dying to know the details...

Open to comments and criticism.. (i.e. help and advise.. hahaha)... and looking forward to hearing peoples suggestions.

Hey!
I think #3 is a great shot. I've been wanting a wide angle lens, one of these days... I would have to say #1 is the grabber, seems to draw you in. For shot 2 were you zoomed out all the way? Looks a little fuzzy, or could be my monitor. I suppose you have a tank if you are here going to post any pics of it?

Shot #2 was possibly using the 50mm F/18.. I'm not sure, but it is "soft" (aka blurry)... Which is too bad... I'm not a comfortable street-photographer at all, and taking that shot felt very intrusive... I like the end-result, even if it is a bit too soft... it's one of my fav.

Shot #3 is not color enhanced, they were bathing that building in colored lamps and it was past dusk, hence the cold-blue skies... I almost tossed that photo till someone saw it and said they liked it... the more I look at it the more I do like it for sure.

Here are some tank shots... i'm still learning for sure...

I like #1. Featherduster right? It is a challenge getting sharp macros. When I'm in the mood to set everything up I use a tripod, mirror lock up, remote shutter release and all pumps off. The fish hate it when I do that LOL. What f stop you using? The pic of your Stylophora has a very shallow depth of field.

Thanks. The soft-ness of the feather duster was on purpose... the shot was actually tripod mounted, remote shutter release, etc.. but i had the circ-pumps on... so the duster was moving... I had to take quite a few before I could determine a crop that I personally liked.

Would have to look at the images again in LR to know the EXIF data for these shots... i have them on the Mac at home.. should be easy to lookup... looking at it, I'm guessing F/8
