Some Pics of My Fish

I really like that yellow puffer! What kind is that?

Edit: Nevermind. I just found out it's a golden puffer. Geez those things are pricey! :eek1:

those are some gorgeous fish you have! could you describe your tank set-up, including lighting and filtration?

Lisa,

My tank is all glass 6' x 3' x3 ' viewable from 3 sides (I'll have to post a whole tank picture) 400 gallons. I have a 70 gallon sump with an ASM G-3 protein skimmer in it. I have 3 loops running their own Nu-Clear canister filters powered by 3 Blue Line HD-40 pumps. I have 2 separate 80W Emporer Aquatics high output UV sterilizers (I added the second to help contain an Ich outbreak). I have a 1HP Arctica Chiller and a Spectrapure 90gph 5 stage RODI for auto-top off into the sump.
My lights are T5's- 2 x 24" Sunlight Supply TEK Lights and 2 x 36 "Sunlight Supply TEK Lights.
My stand is 2" square powder coated stainless steel custom made. My stand cabinetry and canopy were also custom made for me to match my kitchen cabinetry.
The set-up is awesome but the cost was high - $25-30K invested to date.

amazing tank set-up - I'm jealous (but not of your bills!) that's really sweet. what triggers will you get? when you show the ft view, could you also get a nice pic of the equipment? Is it under the cabinet, in a closet, or remote (like in a basement)?

SaltyESQ,

The puffer stays away from the anemone- there are a pair of maroon clowns that inhabit it. The female is large and guards the anemone aggresssively.
A friend of mine game me some huge pieces of hammer coral that he fragged yesterday. The puffer munches on those so they will probably not be around too long. I assume eating the exoskeleton is good for grinding his teeth down.

I think it is time to get a real skimmer and sell the canister filters to a freshwater enthusiast.
