Ever since I switched to my new sump, my toadstool and clams have been looking better than ever. Here's some pics I took earlier today. Sorry for the algae problem, I'm still battling it...

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing!

I had ALMOST convinced myself that I didn't NEED a clam... or three...

Great pictures Jon, what is different about your sump setup now?

Thanks everyone!

The big change I made was removing my refugium and adding more mechanical filtration. My old sump was a 29 gallon. The water went through a big refugium, then to the skimmer and back to the tank. The problem was all the detritus and algae settled on the bottom of my 'fuge and my skimmer didn't do much. Over time I had a lot of algae build up and go back into the main tank. Now I have a 10 gallon. The water first goes through a bag of Purigen, a filter pad, then to the skimmer and back to the tank. The water is A LOT clearer which is helping the coloration of my corals and the health of the clams. I'm starting to notice some of the algae clear up in the main tank now. Hopefully it'll all be gone within a few weeks.

hehe....try fitting 3 in a 29 gallon. My sandbed is getting pretty crowded.
