i have tried to find the exact description of what is going on but i cant find it.
i have a maroon clownfish that has a growth on its head. it is resting on the bottom but when he is startled he goes back to swimming normal. i cant find anyones description that fits what i am going through

Weird, if were my fish I would treat the growth with 7 percent iodine using a Qtip. The fish has to be out of water for one minute. Other than that I'm not sure what course of treatment to do, other than wait it out.

Thanks fir the input would a freshwater dip do anything. Also where do I get the iodine and how long can a fish be out of the water?

Wrap the fishin wet paper towels, they can be out of water a couple minutes. Most farm supplies or drug stores should have iodine, but make sure its not triodine. Most switched to triodine since it can't be used to manufacture meth. Fresh water/formalin bath wouldn't hurt.
