Something crazy happen to my tank

Well, I just got home from work (3:00am) and I heard my chiller working no big deal. I looked around in my tank and saw that all of my corals looked like they shrunk and looked like crap. My fish are not moving and sitting on the sandbed. They almost look drunk. Well, I found out my temp was down to 61 degrees. Oh my God !! I disconnected my chiller and I am praying everything comes back to life. I am so damm pist off. My chiller is an Artica 1/5 and is only 3 months old. The morning will tell the story of death.

What? Dude that sucks. I have an artica 1/10. Knowing the kinda @#$# JBJ are they won't care.

I hate JBJ, but I bought all of their product before I knew that.

Sounds like the thermostat got stuck. What did the digital reading on the chiller say?

sorry to hear that. but its all about redundancy. hook the chiller up to a controller.

I always run two controller for this reason. I use the chiller controller and the my aquacontroler to back that up and same with my heater. I have had tway too many failures to not invest in a controller.

**********Update 11:15 am************

Well, it looks like all my fish made it through. My sps are still looking to be bit on the stressed side. Xenia are starting to pulse again but still sagging. All in all, it looks like after a few days everything will be back the way it was. I called JBJ this am and they said to bring the chiller down and they will repair it. The setting on the chiller was stuck at 95.6 degrees and the chiller would not cycle off. lesson learned and I am going to buy a controller to prevent this from happening again...
