Something mixed in with my zoos

Just came back from a week vacation with my tank in the care of a friend. Everything looks good except for these odd looking shinny bulbous things in one of my zoanthids colony's. I first thought it was bubble algae and tried to suck it out but it was very solid. So I took some pictures...the corals seem to be retreating around it and the ones not right next to it looked mostly okay before I started poking and prodding.

Please help, and thanks in advance.

They're easy to manage and get rid of. Just try to remove without popping them, if you can. Whenever I had a small out break I'd remove them and simply add some more snails eventually I never saw one again after 2 small outbreaks.

Definitely bubble algae. Research will tell you emerald mithrax crabs will eat it, and they will but not very well. But a foxface lo (no spot foxface) will eliminate it.

I had an EPIC infestation of bubble algae. Entire rocks completely covered in it in layers. Fought the issue for 2 years trying to solve the problem with nutrient reduction. Even converted to zeovit/ULNS to try to get rid of it but even that didn't affect it. I got a foxface lo about 6 weeks ago and the bubble algae is almost completely gone.
