Something stinging my zoas

Anybody know what's growing? On these Zoas? It's making them recede

Looks like Colonial hydroids.
You can take the colony out and in a separate container of tank water, scrub them off with a toothbrush. Rinse them in a separate container of tank water too.
Just note they may come back.

+1 On Hydroids! Looks like Hydractinia milleri which might have hitched a ride on any recent snail or hermits that were recently added.
Manual removal and kalk paste. Treat them separate from the tank! Most release polyps when they die so killing them can further spread it.

Supposedly some types of nudibranchs eat them but they normally have obligate diets that are specific down to the species. Also nudibranchs are hard to identify/define species. All of this basically makes it impossible to find the exact one you need to eat that exact hydriod. And even if you did it would soon starve to death :(
