somethings eating my white polyp red gorgonian

looks kinda like a minnid isopod or or some kinda tanaidacean.. i would post a pick but they are to tiny to get a clear pic.. they are definetly eating away the base of the gorgonian... any suggestions

If it is a crustacean I wonder how well the gorg would tolerate an interceptor Tx...

I found some type of crustacean on my menella gorg yesterday, it did look tanaid like... was very well camouflaged, pulled it off with my fingers

interceptor wouldnt be an last option unless all my corals were under attack,... all the polyps still come out of the gorgonian... i did notice there looks as if some algae is growing out of base

You say you have algae rowing at the base of your gorg. Are you sure the crustaceans are not just browsing on the algae growing on the gorgonin where the flesh has been stripped away?
