Looking to get a new phone and this one is waterproof with 20MPs. Does anyone have it and have tested it with taking pictures of corals/reef underwater?

I am planning to get this phone as well, I heard that its great phone and upto 59 feet of depth waterproof and 20.1 Mp camera is just an outstanding feature....

Hey I have the z1 uk model and only difference I belive from the z1s is the internal memory as t-mobile struck some deal with Sony and also runs on LTE like in Europe for faster Internet than hspa in the us .

Anyway not sure we're you get 59ft waterproof from it is only 1.5m for upto 30mins and it would need rinsing with fresh water after being in the sea due to salt getting in the phono jack and speaker. It is a fantastic phone none the less camera is also very good although I can't testify about using it under water as I haven't yet. I use my gopro, may try it in the fishtank though just to see. Il see if I can do a over the water and an under water shot of the same coral or whatever over the weekend at 20.7mp in manual mode.

I have Xperia Z1 for 3 months now and I'm impressed with it.
And as you would guess, I'm the most excited when it gets to unerwater shooting.

This is my video, taken at my friend's garage.
The phone is waterproof, but just make sure you close all the lids and rinse it under tap water from salt. ;-)

Awesome Pictures and video guys. I finally pulled the trigger and received it yesterday.

Per the instructions it states not to submerge in saltwater. Has anyone had issues with saltwater? I tried to dunk it yesterday and couldn't do it lol.
