South Pacific Sunlight 10k Bulbs

Does anyone have any experience with the SPS 10k bulbs? I noticed them in Sanjay's April article. A "10k" bulb on Icecap balast with a cct of 18k (blue) and a PAR rating of 90.4 sounds pretty darn sweet.

Where you purchase them and any first had experience would be greatly appreciated.

For the 250w mogul. The 400w is off the chart CCT wise and produces less light than the 250w....

that crystal star 11k has the highest efficiency i remember seeing, .4228 on a magnetc, with a ppfd of 131 and a cct of 9270.

if i remember correctly, most of the 400w bulbs didn't produce a measurable cct in sanjay's past tests, but the much lower numbers on 400w of the sps brand bulbs make me question the quality/consistency of the bulbs

the Krystal Star 11k has damn impressive numbers for a 250w mogul. For whatever reason, you don't see a lot of users though. The 400w Krystal Star is nothing special.

The reason most bulbs tested don't produce a measurable CCT is that most bulbs that aren't labeled as a "10k" are off the scale. The majority of 14k and up bulbs as marketed are in reality like more than 30k.
