Spaghetti worms?

I have these things in my tank I'm pretty sure they are spaghetti worms. I can't see the body but I can see long ( 1" ), thin, white, Tentacles/hairs coming out of my rocks in my tank. They retract when I move my hand between it and the lights. Am I guessing right? Also what can anyone tell me about them?

Unforunately not, I've counted 5 or 6 of them, I remember reading that they were good to have but I lost the book and just don't know if I was thinking about something else.

Could be either speghetti worms or spionid worms. Either way, they're OK in your tank:

agreed - helpful detrivores. some have had issues with the spaghetti worms overrunning the tank, but most just end up with a few of them. check your tank after lights out with a red filtered lens and you may well see more, not to mention other stuff you never knew you had
