Does anyone have had any experience keeping a spider sponge in a
reef tank set up?

I m thinking on getting one but I haven't found enough info about that kind of sponge.

I would appreciate any help.

I would not get it!! My sis has one and they have struggled hard to keep it alive. They have lost about half of it already and no one seems to be able to give any advice on it. You can check her thread out which includes some photos in the Alabama Reefs forum. There's another reefer over there too that has one but he just got it a couple of weeks ago.

It's definitely possible to keep them alive but it is a little bit more difficult than other Non-photo animals. I found helpful advice searching in the NPS forum.
I think the problem with them is giving them good enough flow and feeding the white zoanthids that live on the sponge as well, it's so difficult to care for because you have to care for two species at once.

Heres probably the best thread for info on them, I plan to get one soon as well.
Here are a couple links actually
