Spider Web on Chalice

Okay -- just bought a small chalice frag. looking at it through a magnifying glass I am seeing spider web stuff -- I can't see any bugs but the web stuff is worrying. And no, I am an idiot, I have not gotten into the habit of dipping my new corals. Any advice?

I see that happen from time to time also, not sure what it is, but it usually happens when I feed or when I disturb coral. I think it is just the slime coating coming off. Chime in anyone?

It could be it's intestines and insides coming out. they do that sometimes when their stressed.

It did get pushed off by the hermits on the first night and landed on a balsto, I saw the misentrial (sp) stuff the next dat but this has been 4 days. Will it stay stressed for that long?

thats what the webs were. It was eating your blasto.

the blasto is fine -- no evidence of any damage but perhaps I got it off in time -- it happenned overnight at some point and I found it about 5:30 AM. But would they stay extended for four additional days? I sucked some off lst night with a turkey baster.

you should not be able to suck off the intestines, so is it the insides or more of spider-web looking stuff? Does it look like small string, or have a larger diameter?

It looks like small web strings -- the mesentrial stuff went away -- what's left looks like spider webs. AND it is four days later. I sucked some web type stuff off last night, as I said, with the turkey baster and there's more back today. But I just got my new circulation pumps, put them in, and it seems to be disapearing. But I am worried it is some weird type of parasite ...
