Spongodes question/help?

Top picture is what my spongodes looks like today, it's actually covered in red polyos, and growing.
Bottom picture is what it used to look like in my old tsnk, way more green.
It's basically in the same place as the previous tsnk, maybe a bit lower, but not very different.
Any ideas?
Move it higher?
I'm stumped.

It looks like it's just the polyp extension that's shadowing the flesh and causing it to lose color. I'd suspect that it's come about because because it used to be mounted directly under the return pump and probably was under more flow, limiting polyp extension.

Yeah, that makes sense, it's getting pretty mush the same amount of light, but it's been moved to the right, pretty sure it is getting less flow.
It's healthy, tons of red polyps, just doesn't look as nice when it was green.
