I have had my Clarki clowns for well over 2 months now and just noticed that the smaller one has a beige/tan spot on one of his white stripes??? My water reading are all good...nitrite 0, nitrate 0, ammonia 0, ph is 8.2 salinity 1.024... BTW he is eating like a pig and nice and fat as is the other clown and they have doubled in size! any clues on what this could be?? BTW my tank is over 8 months old and all other fish are doing great and are pigs at eating!!
I heard it may be a fungus? and i have tried to upload a pic with photobucket to no avail
:(

I do not have a QT tank......I KNOW i need one! but in the meantime what can i do?

That description doesn't give alot to go on. Color changes can be the result of many things .. sometimes natural, sometimes bacterial, sometimes parasite, etc.

I know posting a pic on RC is often a PIA ..too bad and perhaps they will make it easier some day.

Qting most fish is no big deal if one plans in advance ... a $10 ten gallon Petco/Petsmart tank combined with an inexpensive powerfilter (another $10) and a few pieces of pvc pipe for shelter is about all you need. Here's one of the better links about qting .. might give you some ideas .. the guy uses hypo and and some other things that are not always necessary but the overall thread is pretty good and worth reading.
