they change colors just like other fish. There are two main reasons I have (1 heard of and 1 seen) where they change colors. The first one is for mating. The male turns a cool white color with bands. The second one is when they are stressed/hurt. One of my blue spots lost his last 1/2" to something and looked deathly pale for about a week before he started healing and recovering.
thanks ive been watching .and there are only snails and a picaso clown .its a 75 gallon used as a refiugum for a 220 gallon.there is nothing else in it
