Spotted garden eel

Yes they are an amazing species, but as said above they need a rather deep sand bed.

I now have 2 spotted in my 28 gallon Nano cube. All have been in for months, and are doing great. My sand bed is 6 inches. They are relatively easy to keep in my experience. Make sure you do not put any fast active fish like flasher wrasses etc in the tank with them, they wont like it and will hide more. Mine are just with gobies at the moment. As long as you are fine with adding more sand, go for it. I would say 2-4 would be good in your tank depending on how much open sand you have.

I just bought one, when did put it my tank with variable sand thickness she went for the least 1/2 inch instead of the 5 inch end , go figure..... They zooplankton. I was told that seachem zooplankton was how they fed her at the store . Of course i'll add that but pods will probably her main thing.
