SPS after water change?

This is the first time I have observed this so I figured I'd ask to see what was happening to others. During water changes some o my sps is oh of the water. I have read before that this is ok since there are times during tide change in the wild they are out for hours. Well after today's water change I notice some of the pieces lost color and I can see pigment floating in the water and excessive sliming. Is this normal and I just haven't ever noticed it? Specifically joe the coral purple plana and pink lemonade. I'm thinking they will come back no problem but its making me think I may need to change my method of water changes. Thanks.

Not sure if I'm right or not but i experienced the same thing. It seemed as if my LEDS cooked them a little since there was no water buffer. Since then I either do it after lights out or cut the lights off and periodically splash a little water on them to keep them wet.

usually they just slime to protect themselves and are fine after you fill the tank back up...did you get tissue loss after the exposure?

I've never done this before but I'm thinking its a good idea. I, thinking the lights may have had something to do with it along with my fan running up top. Just haven't had this issue before so ill keep you posted. Thanks. Hope I don't loose any.

Usually mine do the same. A little slime and everything is ok. This time that was not the case. I don't see skeleton but my pink lemonade was very nice and now it's grey same with a few others. Hoping they bounce back.
