SPS and their troubles.

What's up everyone in this great forum! I am a beginner at reef keeping and my ultimate goal is to be able to keep any SPS corals. What I find myself struggling with are the signs that my SPS are suffering and need that extra attention that an experienced aquarist would notice and remedy. I have most of the test kits but lack certain test kits such as calcium, phosphate, and the other intangibles that require the attentiveness of the experienced reefer. I do have Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, pH, Alkalinity and Magnesium and can test my salinity with an RO unit that I mix my saltwater with.

If there was a prior posting to this please direct me but what I am looking for is any database of past experiences with struggling SPS corals and the remedies to bring them back to health. I am looking for any documentation that shows the progression of these struggling SPS corals and the steps taken to bring our wonderful and beautiful corals back to health. Is there a thread that I can look at that has examples of struggling SPS and the steps that were taken? Or could we start another so I can learn from the vast knowledge that this forum can provide?

Thanks for any help!
