sps color loss

i have a few acros that are begginning to loose color after the second week of having them i am running my 2 t5s and 3 250 watt metal halide my alkalinity is at 12 and calcium around 500 phosphate at .5 anyone with ideas of what is causing my problem

phos defiantly, aim for below 0.1

ca is too high and for me alk is also, aim for 420 ca and 8.0 alk

Alk is high, cal is high, Phosphate is your huckleberry, way too high! all of this means too much stress.

Your water parameters are definently not ready for sps you need to get that fixed or you are gonna lose alot of coral.

Agreed with everyone else. all your parameters are out of whack. What type of color loss are you having? If its browning then its probably your phosphates. If its bleaching its prob your high alk. There's a lot of other variables. ph swings or alk swings due to improper dosing. Could be improper lighting acclimation to your halides.

Might need to take a step back. Maybe see if a friend can take the corals before they get too poor of health. Read the stickies on too of page for sps requirements and get things in check before adding them back to your tank
