SPS crab ID

Can anyone provide an ID for this fella who I spied crawling around my birdsnest tearing vigorously at something on that coral (probably polyps). I've never seen his ugly self before, and don't want to again. I took a bunch of flash pics, stunned him with the flash, grabbed with the tongs, and put him in an isolation bucket hanging from the top of the tank. Any idea of his intent and who he may or may not be would be very helpful. I'll drop some pics in the other invert forum and see if they want any samples of him sent, although he's probably squashed in half now, and I don't know where my liverock came from.

Thanks in advance!

That doesn't look like any acro crab I've ever seen, and I have quite a few in my tank. To be safe, I'd keep it out of the tank.

Knowing Eric AKA "Acro Crab Killah" he probably already killed the poor crab and then ask questions.
I agree with Jeff that doesn't resemble any acro crab I've seen, it almost looks like an arrow crab.

 :uzi:

Well, I tried to remove him as humanely as possible, but I wasn't gonna handle him with my hands, and I was panicked about the discovery. I know he isn't an acro crab (good crab), that's why I need the ID. Most good crabs have round shells, although I know that's a terrible way to specify and isn't accurate at all, however I still have yet to see a good crab that wasn't a round shelled crab. ::shrug::

Anyway, whatever is left of him is up in an isolation box waiting for an ID by tomorrow. If no ID, then he'll either get the flusher or some other demise to be determined. :)

All I know is that he isn't (better freakin not be) still chewing on my birdsnest... The one coral that doesn't grow at all.. I attributed it to it being right next to the kenya tree and the chemical interaction stunted its growth... ::scratches head::

Kinda looks like a Decorator Crab, without the decoration. Maybe it was looking for something to camouflage itself with?
