Sps dying

Let me first start off saying that I have kept SPS for at least 5+ years now. I had a 180 gallon tank a few years back before I sold it and it grew like weeds...so I have the experience under my belt...I think. Now I have a 120 for 2 years now. Every Acro that I put in there just STN and eventually dies...even a monti cap. However, the orange digita(I think thats how you spell it) this growing. I have checked for pest and did the whole interceptor treatment and actually waited months before putting any new acros..but they just all die.

about a month ago I pulled off my bio pellets that I ran for about a year. Acros/monti cap all died 2 days ago. Any ideas?

PH: 8.2
ALK: 8
Salinity:1.025
Nitrates:1
Nitrites:0
Ammonia:0
MG: 1200

Water is changed every 2 weeks using RO with Tropical Marine mix.

Maybe my Elos test kits are bad. Isn't expired..may go test at the LFS.

I would look at your Mag as there is not much room for error if the test kits old or not very good. How are you testing ph and what is the swing. What are your p04 readings.?

I'm running GAC from BRS. pH swings are anywhere from .5- to 1 when the lights come on. Feeding the fish flake staple once a day

ROX really strips the water. I have just recently taken mine offline because I felt it was removing too much of what the corals need.

Not saying remove yours, but just something to think about. Google ROX carbon and STN. Makes me think if it can cause that, then it could possibly depleting coral food long term
