SPS getting white

I bought this Acropora coral, when i bought it it had purple tips, and brownish skin. Over the last month it has gotten more white. I am unsure if this is the normal color for this coral, or if its just a reaction, while its getting used to its new happitat. I had it for around 2 month.

there is no sign of stn/rtn, and it does still have polyp extention. Its hard to get a proper picture caus, the white parts "light" up, if that makes sence. It still has some of its purple on its tips.

The system parameters are all within normal range, all my other acro´s are growing just fine with color.

kh = 8
no3 = 2-5
po4 = 0 (hanna meter)

i tryed to place the coral on a few diffrent areas, with diffren flow and lighting conditions, nothing seems to affect it thouh. any ideas? it it just normal ?

also there is no signs of aefw, no signs of tisue loss, and the white parts still has tisue. under neath its all just brown, even where its white on the upper part.

That is generally the cause of bleaching, along with high temps. and stress. But it doesn't look that bad to me.

I would prefer a purple body then a brown one (as appears in the pic).

well anything but brown, but i was just curious if i should be worryed or not. I will try and move it to a spot where the light are less intense..

i am running a 8x54w t5 ati power fixture.

i would guess that your tank has far more light than where you bought it (LFS?). i bought 3 frags form a LFS that is running LED's on their frag tank (i forget the brand, something newer they are trying to sell to people, but deff. not cree's), after a few days of being on my sand bed they started to bleach, so i would just leave it as low as possible and allow it to color up.
