Any ideas on this new yellow piece I picked up at the LFS? I am thinking possibly a monti to stylo, but not sure.

I agree with Frick. You have P. cylindrica. For reference here is a neat pic from the sdmas site.
It shows Porites attenuata to the left, P. cylindrica to the top right and P. nigrescens in the bottom centre.
