SPS On Glass Bottom

I'm considering setting up my Illuminata build similarly to Leonardo's Lagoon. My question is this, does anyone mount their frags directly to the glass bottom of a bb tank?

I would imagine the frags would encrust directly to the bottom.

Does anyone perceive any problem or issues with doing this?

If the bottom was covered in coralline first it might be ok. Anytime any of my acros have encrusted (up to about a 3 inch diameter of encrustment) to the clean acrylic on the sides of my tank, just a little bump will break them loose.

They will definently encrust and they should grow from there jsut like when people have monti caps growing on the glass sides.

They will encrust but wont be a verry solid grip. Rough the are you want it to stick to up with some sand paper first so it will have some grip.

Thanks for the input folks. I've actually decided to switch it up a bit and added a DSB instead. I just can't live without the diversity.
